When probed about the reason behind her move, Iman Ali said, "The female lead's character was lacking. Maybe our writer who created the script of the film didn't bother to understand the basics, because as a girl from Karachi who has returned from abroad, Amal's character was very lacking, it was plainly obvious. He wrote Khagga Sahab when he should have chosen Mr Khagga. Really, why a girl returning from the UK would say, 'Khagga Sahab?'" She added, she quit the movie three days before the shooting.
